Recording Your Wishes in a Nutshell should not be seen as depressing! And if you're thinking of writing or updating your Will, this is a great time to tackle this information too as well as leaving personal messages.

You may already have made your wishes known to others in the event of illness or death, but for most of us it's hard to bring up such subjects, especially when things are going well and we feel we’ll be around forever.

Bereaved families can disagree strongly about their relatives' wishes; or if someone dies unexpectedly, a partner can feel doubly bereft if they don't find some personal message in their effects.

Here is the opportunity to make your own wishes known, clearly and unequivocally, to help others at such a time - you can even make sure you’ve taken care of the family goldfish!

By answering our prompt questions, you can state your preferences for healthcare, organ donation, or funeral arrangements - even down to writing a eulogy or specifying favourite music if you wish. You can also leave personal messages, informal bequests and any other relevant information for those who may be dealing with matters without you.
