Your Life in a Nutshell

"Welcome to Your Life in a Nutshell!
The place to record your life's memories,
your family history, even start a
new one for a baby."

When doing your family research it’s great asking and finding out from your parents, or even your grandparents about their lives.  But do you find that sometimes the story changes, or there’s a question over who actually said or did something?  Normally this is because there’s nothing written down – it’s all passed on verbally, and with each generation, something has either got lost, confused or simply forgotten.

Do you find yourself thinking ‘I wish they’d just written it down’ or ‘Why didn’t they write who the person was with Uncle Fred in the picture?’

start recording

Your Life in a Nutshell gives you an opportunity to record your memories of not just your life, but those of your relatives too.  You can record your parents and grandparents memories and get them written down so that they are not forgotten, using photographs and video.  If you like, you can record them talking about their lives and upload the audio files to Your Nutshell.  Imagine what it would be like if you could hear your ancestors actually talking about their lives, even though they’re no longer with us – you can achieve that for your children and grandchildren.

Wouldn’t it make your family history come to life much more if you knew the finer things about your ancestors lives?  Where and how did your great grandparents meet?  What did their parents think?  Why they moved from one area to another?  What things did they like or dislike and why?

You can make sure that your children and grandchildren know all these things about you and your family by using Your Life in a Nutshell.
