Why did Claire Goose get involved?
Claire originally found herself drawn to Your Money in a Nutshell when she and her husband Craig were looking for something to help them organise their financial paperwork; and after checking out the rest of the website she got in touch with a few comments.
We stayed in touch, and are now delighted to welcome her as a member of the team here at Your Nutshell. The idea is that she’ll remain involved in future developments as we take the website forward.
And why do you recognise Claire?
If you’ve watched television in the UK over the last decade, you will doubtless recognise actress Claire Goose from at least one of her TV characters.
She enjoyed a long stint in the prime time drama Casualty as nurse Tina Seabrook, who left the hospital under the most romantic of circumstances. This was followed by four series as the rather less fortunate DS Mel Silver in Waking the Dead, who met her tragic end at the hands of a suspect on (and, eventually, off) a rooftop.
Back on the screen again, she has most recently played a major character in top ITV drama The Bill, as the newly-promoted Inspector Rachel Weston.
In August, she and Craig celebrated the arrival of their first child, Amelia Grace (congratulations to you all!), and unsurprisingly, Claire is busy with family stuff at the moment. She does however find time to act as a committed ambassador for her brother Duncan’s One Foundation. Among other projects the charity sells bottled ‘One’ water through UK supermarkets and online, and puts all profits towards building PlayPumps® in South Africa. These allow kids (and adults!) to have fun in the playground on roundabouts that in turn pump drinking water into tanks for the local community.
